Hunting Rules.

The following rules apply to D.K.W. Safari’s

  1. Access to the lodge is at your own risk and no liability is accepted for loss, damage, illness or injury or any costs that may arise from it. Right of admission is reserved.
  2. The person making the reservation is viewed as the person responsible for all costs.
  3. The full balance of the account is payable on the day of departure.
  4. No alcohol is allowed during hunting sessions or in the hunting vehicle.
  5. No littering in camp or hunting grounds.
  6. Weapons will be safe with no ammunition in ammunition chamber upon entry to the camp and Hunting vehicle.
  7. Hunters are required to handle weapons safely to prevent accidents.
  8. Firearms should already be calibrated before arrival.
  9. No firearm with a caliber smaller than .270 will be allowed.
  10. The determination of the species, sex, trophies and size is your own responsibility, not the guide or professional hunter .
  11. Wounded game must immediately be searched for and put down.
  12. Wounded game is viewed as hunting and is payable in full.
  13. No hunting will take place without a guide.
  14. All smokers should note that the veld is dry – A very high veld fire hazard!
  15. Guns will be locked at night and no night drives without the consent of the owner will be allowed.
  16. Unauthorized hunting of any species, will be charged in full and a fine of R3000 will be applicable per animal.
  17. Hunting from the hunting vehicle, at the Serengeti or near the house is strictly prohibited.
  18. No compensation may be made to the guide or professional hunter.
  19. No pets are allowed.
  20. Damaging or removing vegetation is strictly prohibited.
  21. Arrangements can be made to transport any trophies to a taxidermist for a fee.
  22. Special arrangements can be made for Sunday hunting.
  23. Anyone who wants to hunt trophy animals during their biltong hunting, should be accompanied by a professional hunter, and can be arranged by us @ R1000 per day .
